Jeff Clinton and his wife Carol are retired and live in York, Pennsylvania. They have two, now grown up children. In retirement Jeff has returned to his major passions: digging, researching, recording, compiling and writing about local and family history. He is a member of a local history society and they have created two books that required indexing.
While researching his family tree the trail came to a dead-end with the War of 1812 with Joseph Clinton. Jeff’s work indexing family names on old Barbados maps started with a cruise trip to Barbados and a map at Sunbury Plantation that detailed Clintons.
Jeff has made his index of Barbados family names available to genealogical researchers, allowing them to quickly identify which maps feature their ancestors without examining each map individually. Even noting the neighbours of a family can provide valuable context. This index is shared on an “as is” basis.
